More Prayers Please!!

Hi All

Over the last 9 months I've asking you all to pray for our friends Gemma and Sam and their beautiful daughter Natalie who is suffering from a very rare blood cell disorder. In March Natalie had her spleen removed in the hope that it would cure her of her condition, unfortunately the surgery, while necessary, didn't work and she now needs prayers more then ever!!

Natalie went home a week after surgery but only lasted 5 days before having to be re-admited to hosptial. Since then she has had fevers, pneumonia, a broken central line, surgery to
replace her central line, more fevers which could be related to her condition or could be because she now has an infection in her new central line. She was started back on high dose steroids because she was getting too unwell when not on the steroids, but then the new steroids seem to be effecting her heart so she's needing to be closely monitored and needs oxygen while sleeping. Throughout all of that she has also needed daily platelet transfusions.

The Dr's are now thinking of starting her on a new course of chemo but can't do this until the steriod have worked.

Of course Gemma and Sam continue to be amazing and they tell me that Natalie while a little grumpy from the steriods continues to be their happy smiley little girl!!!
